Pistol Orientation on 2^nd and 4^th Sundays:   Plan is to do two Sundays from Mar thru Jun.   Applications slow down after that, so we may go back to just the second Sunday.  It is going to be dynamic because we want the classes full.  We’ll add or subtract 4^th Sundays as required.  Check with the office.

Here is how it works.  We offer three flights of eight students per day.  Classes are open to existing members wishing to shoot better, and mandatory for new members.  Flights start at 9 AM, 10 AM and 11 Am.  The 9 and 10 flights must fill before the 11 opens.  The last flight finishes at 12:30 PM.  Each flight receives approximately 30 minutes of rules, safety instruction, and tips for shooting better.  Then the first four are sent to the coaches for up to 30 minutes of live fire coaching, practicing what they were just taught.  When finished and approved,  the office sheet and temp membership badge are certified and recorded in the office.  Then the remaining four go for coaching.  While they are being coached, the 10 AM flight receives instruction.  Ditto for the 11 AM flight.  We have ceramic IR heaters to help take the chill off in Winter.

From 9 AM thru 12:30 PM lanes 21 thru 27 are reserved for the classes.  Four lanes are for shooting.  The other four just make room for the coaches.  Regular pistol shooters may use lanes 14 ~ 19 while classes are going on.  The only difference is line changes happen every 30 minutes (approx.) instead of every 15.
