About the Table Trap Range

The always popular Table Trap Range is a favorite with the beginner shotgun shooter, bird hunter and youngster. It became very popular during the early 1990’s. Our range furnishes 8 table top manual machines. Each machine has a color coded spring that determines the speed in which the clay bird will fly. Yellow is the slowest, blue is medium and red is the fastest. Try 1 bird at a time or 2 for a challenge.

Shooting Table Trap requires a two person operation consisting of a shooter and a puller.

Some Basic Equipment:

  • Sporting Shotgun
    • 12G and Sub Gauges (20, 28 & 410) all work well for Table Trap!
  • Shot sizes permitted:  #8, #8 ½, or #9
  • Eye & ear protection is required
  • Shotshell pouch or vest w pockets is desirable
  • Various CHOKES are preferred… depending on the degree of challenge desired
