The range will close from 9 AM until upgrades are complete. We anticipate reopening by 1 PM. The upgrades consist of placing 24 ballistic rubber mats over the 25-yard berm. They will reduce dust, trap lead, and prevent ricochets. 

Please come out to help complete this exciting improvement at 10 AM. We need some strong bodies because each mat weighs approximately 100 lbs.

The Process

At 9 AM the tractor will grade the berm. When finished he will change to forks and bring over the pallet of mats. Final grading will be done by hand with dirt rakes.

The bottom row of mats consists of 4’ x 4’ x 1” thick mats retained by four ½” x 12” galvanized rebar J-hooks driven into the ground. Once installed and retained, the second row of mats will be placed above them. They are 4’ x 8’ x ½”. The first row of mats will retain them.
