Dennis Gascoyne Obituary

After valiantly fighting a lengthy illness, Dennis C. Gascoyne, passed away at his home on July 8, 2023.

Born to Irene and Simon Gascoyne, Dennis was raised in Short Hills, New Jersey. As a child, he loved summer camp, riding horses, sledding, and adoringly harassing his two younger sisters. His high school years took him to Oratory Preparatory School in Summit, New Jersey. He then attended the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio (obtaining a degree in good times) before becoming a member of the New Jersey Air National Guard. He was stationed stateside for most of his tour but was ultimately deployed to Korea at the height of the USS Pueblo crisis. He subsequently was honorably discharged.

Dennis spent most of his professional career working in the insurance industry enjoying a long and prosperous career earning the respect of his colleagues and clients. In his downtime, he made the most of his life – skiing, boating, shooting, and spending time with dear friends – all of whom he greatly cherished.

Dennis is predeceased by the love of his life, wife, Ilona Muir (Happy) Gascoyne but is survived by his two sisters, Judy Kendall, Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and Lynne Kryza, Brighton, Colorado, his nieces, Stephanie Little, Marlene Kryza, Sharon Chagolla and nephew, Christian Stirling Dunn.

A celebration of life will be held at Mauger-Givnish Funeral Home, 24 Monument Ave, Malvern, PA, on September 8th, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. followed by a small luncheon.

Dennis Gascoyne was a DCFS member since 1995.
