It is with profound sorrow that Brendan O’Connor, age 62 of Newtown Square, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on February 20, 1964, in Belfast, Northern Ireland to Marie and Hugh O’Connor. He was the fourth child and “favorite” among six children. In 1972, Brendan’s parents moved their family to the United States and settled in Upper Darby. He attended St. Laurence School where he excelled at sports and his first “claim to fame” was with the St. Laurence Blue Devils as he proudly wore #38 when they won the iconic 1979 CYO Parade of Champs. He attended Upper Darby High School, was the starting nose guard #66 and graduated in the Class of 1984. His teammates became life-long loyal friends to this day.

Brendan was a member of UA Local 692 Sprinklerfitters for 33 years, retiring as Superintendent. Brendan enjoyed golfing, fishing and summers in North Wildwood with family and friends. He was an avid sports fan, an exceptional storyteller and a nicknamer extraordinaire. He was a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Trinity Council 3132, Delaware County Field & Stream Association and Atglen Sportsmen’s Club. He was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who will be deeply missed by everyone.
